In the UAE, they strictly monitor the implementation of all norms, so all design, communications, fire safety, etc. will have to be coordinated with Dubai Municipality (hereinafter – DM).
What you should pay attention to
- You will not be able to take any construction crew, because the entire repair process is controlled. All workers must be employed by a company that has the appropriate license (otherwise a fine of 50 000 AED for each case of violation). At each stage of the roughing, the DM staff will accept the work
- DM has specific requirements for a design project. Therefore, it is better to familiarize your designer with them in advance
- Due to sanctions against Russian citizens, opening a bank account with acquiring in a reliable bank may take up to 2-3 months
