History
The year of foundation of the DIC district is 1999. It was built as a developing center of ICT (Information Communication Technology) in the Middle East. At the beginning of the territory’s existence, it was possible to attract several major multinational firms to it, where they placed their enterprises. Since its foundation, DIC has grown and developed significantly, and there are even more companies. One of the first was Microsoft Corporation.

Geographical location and architecture
The area is localized near the main Dubai highway – Sheikh Zayed Highway. Therefore, you can easily reach it in the location next door.

Transport
DIC is located near Dubai Marina, so anyone can get here. At the same time, there is a guard on duty around the clock, who is interested in the purpose of visiting the area.
Taxi/metro is considered the most convenient transport. If you chose the second option, you should know about the nearest stations. One of them has the same name as the district, and the second is called Nakheel. A trip to Dubai by taxi or by car takes from 15 to 20 minutes. You can also take the bus that goes along the route to Global Village 1, but the trip will take longer.
